Bio

Michael has been working as a student researcher since the inception of the STRIPE project. He contributed to the design, implementation, and analysis of the global stakeholders’ tacit knowledge survey in collaboration with country partners.  

As a PhD student in the Department of International Health, his research focuses on applying implementation research to improve health systems performance. His thesis draws on lessons learned from reaching vulnerable populations during polio immunization campaigns to achieving effective coverage of hypertension management services in Bihar, India. Michael has also worked as a consultant for the World Bank and the Asian Development Bank on strengthening pandemic preparedness and response, reducing the burden of non-communicable diseases, and implementing multi-sectoral solutions to emerging public health problems.
