Weblucile packard children's hospital stanford partners with local pet therapy programs to have well behaved pet dogs accompanied by their human handlers to bring cheer and joy to patients in our hospital on a volunteer basis through our volunteer services program. Webwith the recent expansion of the brigham buddies pet therapy program, more patients and loved ones are able to experience a comforting visit from one of three therapy dogs that come to the hospital each week with their handlers. Webtogether with partner programs, hshv distributed over 42,000 pounds of pet food to washtenaw county residents in 2020, and in 2021, has served close to 250 families prior to these new partnerships.
