Webmuch of evangelicalism refuses to grant god sovereignty when it comes to the salvation of sinners, as though this refusal actually could change the fact of his sovereignty. Webin meditating on romans chapter 9, i'm drawn into a deeper awe of god's sovereignty, a renewed gratitude for his mercy, and a greater trust in his perfect will. Webthere is no abrupt shift from chapter 9 to chapter 10, for the argument of divine sovereignty flows easily into that of human responsibility.
